This site is designed and maintained by Dancewell a UK business that has been supplying Dancewear for over forty years. Our customers include those beginning dance through to Professionals, from small Groups and Dance Schools to major Ballet and Theatrical companies. We are now one of the largest independent retailers in the U.K. The business started trading in Cotham Hill, Bristol, England back in 1959. Our philosophy has always been to carry a wide range and high level of stock. We recognise customers want their dancewear immediately rather than wait weeks/months for it to arrive. Over the years, we have become well known for our friendly service and expertise. We firmly believe that a high level of service is just as important as the quality of our Dancewear. This has allowed us to gain the respect of both our customers and suppliers. We are an authorised supplier for all the major Dancewear manufacturers. We supply Dancewear from all around the World, provided it meets our own quality requirement. In addition, we offer a level of expertise normally only found in the Dance manufacturer's own outlets. The added benefit being that all makes are available under one roof. To maintain this expertise we work closely with our suppliers so we are well informed regarding new products and techniques. This is particularly so when it comes to the stocking and fitting of Pointe Shoes. It is necessary to have both an experienced fitter and a good stock of shoes to provide a Pointe shoe fitting service. Often, dancers are sold what a shop has rather than what is suitable for the foot. This is something we always avoid and can only be achieved if stock levels are maintained at a suitable level.
